burgling | PWP? Except there's plot.

Bilbo had very fine things in mind when he first came to live in Erebor. Adviser to the King was a very important status to have, especially when the king was still gravely injured and still insisted on wandering around the halls. Bilbo, therefore, was most engaged in advising the king to sit down, advising the king to eat everything on his plate, and advising the king not to snarl at elves when they were helping with the restoration as a sign of amended friendships.

Needless to say, the king didn't think that any of Bilbo's advising was in particularly good taste, but after all they'd been through, Bilbo didn't much care at all what Thorin II Oakenshield thought. Too much protest, that's what he said. No means yes. Maybe means yes.

"Thorin?" Bilbo pushes open the curtains around the king's bed and of course. Of course. "Why would I think you'd be sleeping? It's only before dawn," he remarks. "Yes, we're inside a mountain but even I can tell the time without feeling for the sun and--" The hobbit sighs and puts down his tray to move towards the glowering figure at the fire. He stands between Thorin and the flames. "What is it that I can do you for you relieve you of some of this pressure?" he asks, mostly to himself. Thorin's vocabulary is mostly grunts and sighs any way. What comes to the hobbit's mind is--

Well, it's what tends to from time to time. Spring is here. New things grow. Animals seek each other out. Thorin must be suffering from something akin to that. He must need a little relief. Bilbo puts on hand on the heavy arm of the chair and leans in, his other hand moving to the wide belt of the king.

"You need to relax."

His wounds aren't that bad any more, Bilbo. Stop fussing so much! He quite likes the feeling of Bilbo on this lap, its a warm feeling. Even more so when that hand works him again, his breath picking up, face flushing a bit.

"Tea... right..." Not quite paying complete attention right now. Instead he's just taking in the hobbit on his lap, those curls that he finds himself itching to touch at times, big eyes that look at him quite a lot, a tinier body than any dwarf... there's something about the hobbit.

And then Thorin moans, eyes slipping shut.

Good! That is definitely the right response! Bilbo smiles to himself. Yes, he thinks. Quite good, this. Thorin will feel much better at the end of this and then he might be willing to go over some documents. A statue needs to be commissioned. Orcrist needs a proper polish. There's to be a feast soon.

Bilbo leans in closely. Getting in Thorin's personal space has never been something to shy away from actually and Bilbo presses himself up on his toes so his entire shoulder can get in on the act.

It hadn't really occurred to him that something like this might affect him too actually, but he swallows it down because hello? He's being helpful. This is not about him.

"There you are. Feeling better?" He simply feels like he must talk as his hips rock toward Thorin's. He's being a bit rough but it's nothing a dwarf can't handle it seems.

Bilbo you are ridiculous talking like you've given him medicine and put him to bed. The dwarf just opens his eyes to stare at the face closer to his own. If he's ever had an urge to do something completely outrageous, it's this very moment.

For once he'll not hesitate, hand on the back of Bilbo's neck to pull him in closer as he kisses that talkative mouth. Enough, hobbit. No more words this second. His hand will not linger long on Bilbo's neck, the desire to touch curls is too great and he'll thread thick fingers into the halfling's hair.

Oh he's feeling very good right now.

It's better than medicine! It's... It's just a different sort of healing. People do it all the time. It's not Bilbo's fault if Thorin's folk are more repressed and-- The kiss catches him off guard. He'd not been expecting it. The process was relieve Thorin's stress, wash up, get the documents signed, have some tea on the secret door's terrace! There'd been nothing about kissing on the program!

Nothing! In fact, Bilbo would have noticed! He wrote the schedule!

Sorry Thorin. That nice stroking has suddenly stopped as Bilbo's forehead wrinkles between his eyebrows and he finds himself not sure where to put his other hand. Jaw? Chest? Hair?

Oh no, and Thorin's stroking his hair-- It's just about too much and Bilbo leans away. "W-What are you doing?!"

Perfectly normal to jerk your king off, but kiss him? Oooh no.

Oh sweet summer child. Dwarves are hardly repressed, they're quite open about sex and all that, just... Thorin has kept himself away from others in that sense. Getting close to people just meant it hurting more when he lost them. Getting close to people meant a lot of things, but since Bilbo Baggins... well.

He can't help himself, especially when the halfling is touching him like this and sitting on his lap. Surely it must mean-- but then Bilbo is pulling back, looking quite shocked by what he'd done.

"I..." Oh. Oh so it wasn't like that. Thorin's hand lingers, just for a second more before it drops, resting on the arm of the chair once more.

"I merely--" Just brush it off. Clearly this was nothing but a misunderstanding. Work. That's all it was to Bilbo.

"Just got caught up in it all."

Bilbo doesn't look like brushing it off is just going to work. He looks halfway between about to cry and likely to smack Thorin in his foolish mouth. That doesn't mean he climbs out of the dwarf's lap. He just...he settles that hand that had been unable to go no where on Thorin's shoulder and looks downward, feeling foolish himself.

Cultural differences have been plaguing him from the moment he met Thorin and his Company. He's been fairly good with it, but that doesn't mean he can let something as important as a kiss slide.

Dwarves might thing they're 'something to get caught up in' and do it but hobbits--

"A kiss if for someone you love," Bilbo says in dismay. And to think, his first kiss had been to the dwarven king of all people! Thorin seems to sway between hating him and barely tolerating him. They're friends of course, but oh.. He'd wanted his first time to be meaningful.

For the other person to really care for him.

He feels like an idiot about to blubber over this so he takes the dwarf in his hand again. The stroking is slower now. It will take time to build back up.

Wait but-- he thought-- what in the name of Durin is going on?

Thorin stops Bilbo, taking his hand right off his cock, no matter how good it feels. He's a bit taken back himself at this. So a kiss is something sacred, but tugging off your friend means nothing? What in the world.

"You acted-- I thought it disgusted you." He's so lost right now. So Bilbo hadn't disliked it?
